Website registration

Create your Vault account first.

Before opening the game, register on the Vault of Hatred website. This creates the account you will use to log in through WoW.exe.

  1. Open the registration pageSelect Create Account on the website or use the button below.
  2. Choose your account detailsEnter a username, your email address and a password.
  3. Accept the realm rulesRead the registration notice, tick the acceptance box and select Create My Account.
  4. Keep your username and passwordYou will enter the same details on the Burning Crusade login screen.

This creates an account, not a character. Your character is created later from the character selection screen inside the game.

Choose one route

Which download do you need?

If you are new to Vault of Hatred, choose the complete client. Download VaultBot by itself only when you already have a working English TBC 2.4.3 (build 8606) client.

Route A · Complete Client

Extract it, then open WoW.exe.

Everything is already configured.VaultBot and the Vault of Hatred realmlist are included in this download.
  1. Extract the ZIPMove the extracted folder somewhere easy to find.
  2. Open the extracted folderLook for the application named WoW.exe.
  3. Double-click WoW.exeThe Vault of Hatred login screen will open.
Route A players: do not edit the realmlist and do not install VaultBot separately.

Route B · VaultBot Only

Install the add-on into your existing client.

These steps apply only if you downloaded the smaller VaultBot.zip file and already have a working TBC 2.4.3 client.

  1. Extract VaultBot.zipYou should get a folder named VaultBot.
  2. Move the VaultBot folderPlace it inside Interface\AddOns in your existing game folder.
  3. Check your realmlistOpen realmlist.wtf, enter the address shown here and save it.
  4. Open your existing WoW.exeUse the game client you already had.

Enter the world

Log in through WoW.exe.

Character creation takes place inside the World of Warcraft game. It is not available through the Vault of Hatred website.

The website creates your game account.Your individual characters are created and managed from the character selection screen inside the game.

Your tank engages first. The rest of the party follows after threat is established.

Your companions

Meet VaultBot.

VaultBot builds a balanced companion party for dungeons, with AI-controlled tanks, healers and damage dealers working around your chosen role.

  1. Open VaultBotUse the add-on interface to select a dungeon and your role.
  2. Build a balanced partyVaultBot recruits the required tank, healer and damage companions.
  3. Use Smart EngageSelect an enemy and press Shift + A. The tank establishes threat before damage follows.
  4. Regroup if neededIf companions do not enter an instance with you, use Regroup once inside.
REMEMBERTarget first. Engage second.

Always select the enemy you want the party to attack before using Smart Engage.

VAULTBOT DOWNLOADIncluded with the complete client

Players using their own clean TBC 2.4.3 client can install the standalone package.
